Casting News For Kristen Stewart's 'ON THE ROAD' - Steve Buscemi, Elisabeth Moss, Alice Braga, Terrence Howard Join Cast
An unofficial photo of Kristen Stewart as Marylou on the set of the long-in-development adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s On the Road has landed online. The film co-stars Garrett Hedlund as Dean Moriarty, Sam Riley as Sal Paradise, Kirsten
Dunst as Camille, Amy Adams as Jane, and Viggo Mortensen as Old Bull Lee.
Filming began on August 4th, and we received a press release announcing that Steve Buscemi, Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men), Alice Braga (Predators), Tom Sturridge (Pirate Radio), Danny Morgan (the TV show Off the Hook), and Terrence Howard. However, we don’t know which roles they’ll be playing. I’d be able to provide an educated guess but I haven’t read the book yet. It’s currently sitting in a pile of other classic works of literature that I keep by my bed to make me feel bad about myself.
Hit the jump to check out the image and read the press release. On the Road is due out in 2011.
Here’s the press release:

Are they or aren't they? Robert Pattinson paid a visit to his Twilight co-star and rumored girlfriend Kristen Stewart on the set of her new movie, On The Road, in Montreal, Canada on Aug 12. New photos show the pair getting super close near K-Stew's trailer as she takes a breaking from filming. Despite rampant rumors of their relationship, the two have never been spotted kissing ... is this the closest the world will get?
While Pattinson was surely hamming it up with Stewart on the set, his best friend, Tom Sturridge, also has a role in On The Road, so he had multiple reasons to pay a visit.
Do you think Rob and Kristen are a couple? Let us know in the comments. For all things Twilight, click here for The Forks Report.
I believe that squees & jumpy claps are in order! Rob visited Kristen at the 'On The Road' set yesterday in Montreal!!! How funny is it that we only got 1 pic of KStew on set but all these pics of Rob? She's so stealthy!
KStew as MaryLou in 'On The Road.' Love it!

What's fun about James Franco is that you never know what to expect from him. He might pop up in some self-deprecating Funny or Die videos, or play a pillow-obsessed weirdo on "30 Rock," or appear as a serial killer on "General Hospital." Heck, the guy is starring in the latest reworking of the "Planet of the Apes" franchise.
He keeps you guessing. So what are we to make of this new Esquireinterview, in which Franco hints he's getting involved with "Twilight"? When the interviewer first meets the 32-year-old actor, he's cradling a paperback that he reluctantly admits is the first volume in Stephenie Meyer's vampire series, saying, "It's for a project."
Does that mean he could be joining the cast of "Breaking Dawn," which is set to begin filming in the fall? Or is this mysterious project just about vampires or teenage drama? A rep for Franco did not return MTV News' request for comment by press time.
All we can say for certain, at this point, is that Franco is a fan of the book. "It's crazy how much sexual tension there is," he said. "It just builds and builds. I mean it never stops. It's sort of explosive by the end. Crazy. Like they'll blow up with it. And of course, they don't. Which is the point too, I guess."
Franco did say that the project was "way, way off" and only "something I'm thinking about," so Twi-hards should proceed with their Franco dreams with caution.
Whether or not he joins the "Twilight" cast, it's funny to note that his brother, Dave, actually auditioned for the role of Edward Cullen. And he's not sorry he lost out on the part to Robert Pattinson.
"I don't want that kind of fame," the younger Franco said. "Hell no. I don't like the idea of losing my anonymity and not having a personal life."

We had a chance to catch up with one of our fave actresses since forevah, Christina Ricci—who dished to us about her upcoming flick Bel Ami with Robert Pattinson. Like how steamy their loves scenes got and how R.Pattz had a special lady we all know and love come and visit him on set. Let the dishing begin!
"It was really fun, I mean just aesthetically we wore amazing costumes and hair and make up was great," Ricci told us at the fab party about her new flick. "And working with Rob was amazing. He's such a great guy, so talented."
Well, since she brought him up we might as well get the on-set dirt from her:
"He's just great. We'd just make fun of each other the whole time, like ‘oh my god we're so goofy' or ‘my accent is so bad!'"
So exactly how close do Christina and Rob get?
"We are lovers, yeah you know."
Relax Twi-Hards. She means they are lovers onscreen for Bel Ami!
"There's some naughtiness," the adorable Ricci said with a smirk when we grilled her on whether we get some good love-scenes, adding there are "lots" of them.
Natch we had to ask the question on all of our minds. Is Rob a good kisser?
"Um yeah," Christina smiled. "He is pretty much awesome."
One lucky girl who gets to experience Rob's smooches on a pretty regular basis is Kristen Stewart. As we told you, Kristen traveled to Budapest after her birthday to be with Rob during filming.
"Yeah she visited," Christina said. "I love her, she is totally sweet. And he is great!"
Although Ricci says she's never seen a Twilight film, she totally gets the cult appeal.
"I understand where they're coming from," confessed the lovely CR. " He's an awesome human being. He's so funny and quirky and weird."
Who is ten times more excited to see Bel Ami now?! Glad we now get a chance to watch two of our faves together!
"Very rarely, but that's one of the greatest things in life, being able to take a pretty girl out to dinner."
—Jackson Rathbone on whether he has had time to go on any dates this summer. Out of all the Twi-guys, Jackson avoids the Hollywood scene the most, but it sounds like he's still not able to date like a normal 26 year old.
So what was his response when we asked if onscreen sweetheart Ashley Greene might be one of those pretty girls?
No answer, just a big ol' smile!
We told him that many Twi-fans, us included, think they'd make a super cute couple.
"You're going to make me blush," Jackson 'fessed.
We know Jackley has happened in the past, and we so hope they don't rule it out again in the future because trust, despite all the pics, Ash is not all hooked up with Joe Jonas right now.
Girlfriend likes to keep her options open, and we don't think there's anything wrong with that!
