New LA Press Junket Interview With Los 40 Principales

Celebrity Gossip Names Kristen Stewart: The Belle of 2009

It’s safe to say, 2009 was certainly a stellar year for actress Kristen Stewart.

The beautiful brunette began her acting career at the age of eight and has since been featured in over 30 films, one of those being “Twilight” which launched her into international stardom.

The “Twilight Saga” consists of three films (so far) based on Stephanie Meyer’s bestselling vampire romance including “Twilight,” “New Moon” and “Eclipse” - in which Stewart shines as lead role, Bella Swan.

It was on the set of these films that the 19-year-old actress was introduced to Robert Pattinson, who plays the role of Edward Cullen in the popular saga.

The two, who share an intense on-screen romance, have since caught the attention of millions of fans all over the world, and have sparked hopeful rumors that they share an off-screen romance as well.

Choosing to stay very private about the matter, their relationship has not been confirmed publicly, but from the looks of it, Stewart and Pattinson are one of the hottest couples in Hollywood.

If you can’t get enough of the lovely Kristen, you’re in luck! She has four films - “The Runaways,” “Welcome to the Rileys,” “Eclipse” and “K-11” - coming out in 2010.

Charlie Bewley Says 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' Will Be More Dark & Vicious

Of course, you're all well versed on the fact that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse promises to be a darker picture than its predecessors,Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

Charlie Bewley, who portrays "Demetri" in the saga, seems to think it'll be more "real" in the sense that "Eclipse has this different mood about it, it’s dark and vicious. You get to see the brutal nature of vampires and what they are really capable of, which is something we haven’t really seen in the first two movies." Or at least that's what he told OK! Magazine.

Of course, all that's been seen - officially - ofEclipse thus far is a still-frame image ofRobert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in the meadow, and the trailer's release is to come at an indeterminate time, so all we have to rely on, for now, is words like those of Bewley.

It is interesting, then, to hear him say that the vampires in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be portrayed as the dangerous creature that mainstream lore presents them as. Wonder if this will bring more guys into the saga?

Of course, these statements are qualified by David Slade's promise that there is a "balance" in the film. So, if there can and will be both (the predatory/vicious vampires as well as a soft and tempered love story), isn't that a good thing?

New Xavier Samuel Interview Talks Rob & Kristen Dealing With Fame & Fans

Xavier Samuel that plays Riley is home for the holidays and his hometown paper got a chance to chat him up as he was getting a haircut.

This week he was enjoying some downtime in his home town, where he caught up with mates at Rundle St spots The Exeter and Sugar nightclub, before spending Christmas relaxing with his mum Maree and dad Clifford, brother Benedict, 21, and sister Bridget, 28.

"It's a bizarre thing, the whole celebrity phenomenon," Samuel told the Sunday Mail.

"But to see it in action is another thing. It's a little strange having someone follow you to get a coffee.

"I wasn't used to that sort of attention, so I just took it in my stride, I guess.

"I think Robert and Kristen do a really good job in dealing with fans.

"They seem to handle it really well, so if I can take a leaf out of their book I should be OK."

Robert Pattinson Tops Alexander Skarsgård In The Improper's Hottest Vampire Poll

Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson still rules the vampire world, topping True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgård and “New Moon’s Taylor Lautner by a wide margin in an Improper poll.

Skarsgård has been developing a dedicated following just like Rob ever since being cast in 2008 as the sexy vampire Eric Northman in the hit HBO series “True Blood.” But TheImproper wanted to know: Who’s hotter?

The poll also included “New Moon’s” Taylor because of the outstanding job he did in the “Twilight” sequel and the rise of “Team Jacob,” the legion of fans who support the hot young actor.

But when it comes to fans, Rob’s are still the most dedicated and most active. According to preliminary poll results Rob received 72 percent of the votes cast. Alexander received 26 percent of the vote and Taylor came in a distant third with only 2 percent of the vote.

The online poll asked: Which star of a Vampire Show or Movie Star is Hotter?

While the “Twilight” series is probably better known, Skarsgård has been building a growing following on the hit HBO series, and in many ways his career trajectory and popularity is the same as Rob’s.

For one, they both play vampires! But there is no question at the moment that Alexander has not reached Rob’s level of hotness, or at least his fans are not as well organized. Rob is besieged everywhere he goes, and Alexander is seeing some of the same fan enthusiasm.

At 33, however, Alexander is a decade older the Rob and is better prepared mentally to deal with the overwhelming attention of his fans. So far, he says he’s been able to grounded by ignoring the media hype.

“I never read fan sites or blogs,” he says. “I don’t think it’s good for me. If it’s negative I know it will get to me. Or you just read positive things, your ego sort of explodes.”

Like Rob, he also vows not to change: “Nothing would hurt me more than if [my friends] said that I have changed,” he says. “After all, I was over 30 when things started to happen in the States.”

The gorgeous 6′4″ Swede will show off his superfit physique this season as his bad-boy character has more provocative sex scenes with both male and female characters. Rob also has a bad-boy aura that makes him irresistible as Edward Cullen.

Fans are rooting for him to hook up with Sokie in the upcoming season, which Alexander promises will be racier than ever, including ramped up nude scenes. Look out!

“There’s a lot of nudity [in Season 3],” Skarsgård promises. “There’s going to be a lot violence and a lot of sex [for Eric] — with women and men! So it should be interesting.”

Season Three of “True Blood” begins filming later this month and airs on HBO in June 2010. “Twilight” sequel is in theaters now and the next installments “Eclipse,” and “Breaking Dawn” will appear in the summer and fall of 2010.

The Business Of ‘Twilight’ In 2009 - Recap From OK! Magazine

Due to the fanatical demands of Twi-hards everywhere, the second installment in theTwilight Saga, New Moon, was cast, filmed and released all in 2009, with more than a few shake-ups along the way before the highly-anticipated movie hit theaters in November. The cast and crew also tackled the third film, Eclipse in the same 12-month span.OK! takes a look back at the important casting and directing decisions that shaped the franchise in 2009.

Catherine Hardwicke replaced as director with Chris Weitz: Although this decision was announced in the last month of 2008, it was the first sign that everyone who worked onTwilight would be around for New Moon and foreshadowed other cast and crew shake-ups to come. It was rumored at the time that Catherine had some disagreements over thedirection New Moon should go in, and wasn’t on a schedule that she felt would allow for the best outcome.

Taylor Lautner’s casting fate in the air : Fans set to howling with fury when the press release announcing Chris Weitz as director for New Moon included the confirmation ofRobert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s return but did not announce Taylor’s return asJacob Black. It was thought the slightness of the teen actor might not pass muster as a muscly werewolf. However in early January, it was finally confirmed that Taylor would reprise his role. None other than author Stephenie Meyer made the announcement official on her Web site. Whew!

Dakota Fanning signs on as a Volturi vampire: The cast of New Moon garnered a bona fide acting veteran when the experienced teenager Dakota was announced as an addition to the cast, playing Volturi bad vamp Jane in January.

Release date for Eclipse set for June 2010: Even before filming began on New Moon, Twi-hards got the good news in February this year that they would only have to wait seven months after the second movie for the third to be released.

More Volturi vampires sign on for New Moon while the wolfpack grows: March and April saw the additions of Jamie Campbell Bower and Michael Sheen cast as Caius and Aro, respectively. Also in March, Alex Meraz and Chaske Spencer joined the Quileute pack.

Cast heads to Vancouver to film New Moon: With all the key players in place, the cast headed up to Vancouver in April to begin filming with director Chris Weitz.

David Slade announced as director for Eclipse: Months after it got a release date, Eclipsegot its director, when David Slade signed on board on April 23.

R-Pattz confirms he’ll be there for Breaking Dawn: As if the forces behind the Twilightfranchise would ever dare to dream of replacing him, Rob confirmed in May that he’d be there when filming began for the fourth and final movie, Breaking Dawn.

Bryce Dallas Howard replaces Rachelle Lefevre as Victoria in Eclipse: Perhaps one of the most shocking stories to come out of the casting department for the Twilight franchise hit the news in July when Summit announced that Rachelle would no longer play evil vampire Victoria after New Moon, and would instead be replaced by Bryce. The move was attributed to scheduling conflicts, which Rachelle later decried as minimal. However Summit’s decision held. even after fans denounced the change and Rachelle issued statements expressing her concern over the shift.

Eclipse begins filming in August: With one movie already under their belts for the year, the cast of Eclipse headed back up to Vancouver to film the third installment of The Twilight Saga under the direction of David Slade.

New Moon hits theaters: As any person not living under a rock this fall knows, New Moonfinally hit theaters on Nov. 20, with record-breaking midnight showings and hundreds of millions of sales to follow.

With the official announcement regarding Breaking Dawn yet to happen and the release ofEclipse set for June, 2010 should be just as big a year — if not bigger — as 2009 for theTwlight franchise!
