She's Alive!!! Kristen Stewart Spotted In LA Today!

She's alive! It's been a while since we've seen Kristen Stewart, but she put on a brave face yesterday in Los Angeles.

Kristen looked casual in tight
jeans and pumps as she leaves her parents home for an awaiting SUV. The Twilight and New Moonactress was accompanied by her driver and an umbrella to keep her dry from the rain shower. Stewart seemed to have forgotten something soon after getting into the vehicle and went back inside to retrieve it before driving off.

To Prep For Taylor Lautner's 'SNL' Hosting Gig, MTV Reviews The Top 10 'Twilight' Mentions On TV

Though "New Moon" dominated the box office for weeks, the theater wasn't the only place to find Edward, Bella and Jacob making a splash. It seems some of our favorite TV shows are just as obsessed with Stephenie Meyer'sfantastical creation as we are. In honor of"Twilight" star Taylor Lautner's hosting gig on this weekend's "Saturday Night Live" (and in the hopes that we'll have another entry to add to this list), we've rounded up 10 totally "Twilight" TV shoutouts (in no particular order).

1. "The Office"

The NBC series gets not one, but two gold new moons—see what I did there?—for their hilarious "Twilight" twofer. The first took place during the Halloween episode "Koi Pond" when the employees of Dunder Mifflin organized a haunted house featuring two bloodsuckers—a traditional Count Dracula (Creed Bratton) and one we can only assume was meant to be Edward Cullen (B.J. Novak). When the Count cries "I want to suck your blood!" Edward (a.k.a. Ryan) responds, "That's really not the trend in vampires right now." So true! And then, just last night, Jim (John Krasinski) bought Kelly (Mindy Kaling) an Edward Cullen poster. We knew we loved this show for a reason!

2. "Vampire Diaries"

Skewering its vampire competition (and arguably the franchise that cleared the way for the series'own success), bloodsucker Damon (Ian Somerhalder) cozies up to a copy of Stephenie Meyer's original tome. "What's so special about this Bella girl?" Damon asks his human chew toy Caroline (Candice Accola). "Edward's so whipped." When she asks why he doesn't sparkle in the sun, he responds, "Because I live in the real world where vampires burn in the sun."

3. "Jeopardy"

I'll take Robert Pattinson for $200, Alex. Oh, if only. During the quiz show's recent Teen Tournament an entire category was dedicated to "Twilight" The Novel. Any die-hard fan would have made it to Final Jeopardy with these easy peasy questions. We won't give away the answers in case you want to play along. Check out the "Jeopardy" airing here!

4. "Cougar Town"

Who knew Courtney Cox was a Twilight Mom? On the Nov. 4 episode, 40-something Jules (Courtney) confessed to hunky neighbor Grayson that she had a naughty dream about him. When he seemed a little too pleased with himself, she deflated his puffed-chest with this laughable admission: "Relax stud, I have sex dreams about everybody—the president, Gene Simmons, Edward from 'Twilight.' Oooh, that sweet Edward." But seeing as Edward is really in his 100s, that doesn't make Jules much of a cougar after all.

5. "SNL"

It took the usually timely sketch-comedy series a year after the first film's release to lampoon it, but "SNL" finally sank its teeth into "Twilight" with the awesome parody "Firelight." Perhaps it was worth the wait just to see Taylor Lautner's maybe-girlfriend Taylor Swift brood as Bella Swan. Check out the entire parody here!

6. "Criminal Minds"

During an investigation, the crew attempts to hack into a laptop and has success with the password "Cullen," much to the consternation of Dr. Spencer Reid (a.k.a. our past Hump Day Hottie Matthew Gray Gubler). "What's 'Twilight'?" he asks. Oh, where to even begin? We guess that guest appearance by Jackson Rathbone last season didn't leave much of an impression on Spencer, huh?

7. "90210"

Dunder Mifflin employee Ryan wasn't the only one to dress as a "Twilight" universe member this Halloween. So did Liam (Matt Lanter) on "90210." OK fine — not really. Still, during the show's costume party—the one in which Teddy (Trevor Donovan) is indeed garbed like Count Dracula—Liam is asked by a party-goer if he's supposed to be a certain bed-headed Brit. "You're Rob Pattinson, right? I can tell, 'cause you have messy hair." That's what you get for wearing flannel in Beverly Hills.

8. "Hannah Montana"

Miley Cyrus' now-defunct Twitter account isn't the only place she name drops RPattz. In an episode of her Disney series, Miley talks about potentially being set up with Rob. Real-life Miley, however, didn't feel the warm fuzzies for the actor until a few months ago tweeting, "Gave a hug to Rob Pattinson today. Ok girls I get it now. So cute. Sorry 'Robby' bout all my bashing in my past : )."

9. "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon"

Host Jimmy Fallon must really enjoy hanging from trees and affecting a British accent, because he's made his gag "Robert is Bothered" a recurring bit on his show. After taking jabs at sharks and Snickers, our favorite is still the original when RPattz rumbles with "Harry Potter" costar Daniel Radcliffe.

10. "Attack of the Show"

Though the final installment of the "Twilight Saga" has yet to be greenlit for the big screen, the folks over at G4 wasted no time putting together a "Breaking Dawn" spoof featuring Peter Facinelli. It must be seen to be truly appreciated — watch now!

'Eclipse' Actress Bryce Dallas Howard Strived For 'Continuity' As Victoria

NEW YORK — When "Spider-Man 3" actress Bryce Dallas Howard was tapped toreplace Rachelle Lefevre as vampire Victoria in the third "Twilight" film, "Eclipse,"the 28-year-old didn't need a last-minute study session to ace her character. She was already a fan of the wildly popular series.

"I had already read the books. I had actually seen 'Twilight' several times, much to my husband's chagrin," Howard told MTV News while promoting her upcoming release, "The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond." "Whenever Robert Pattinson would come onscreen, I would grab my husband's hands and start squeezing, and he'd be like, 'Stop squeezing my hand!' "

Though Howard felt intimidatedjoining the tight-knit cast so close to the start of production, one of her biggest challenges may have been maintaining continuity between Lefevre's Victoria and her portrayal of the revenge-bent bloodsucker. While Howard and Lefevre share similar physical traits, including signature flaming-red tresses, Howard put much care toward embodying the already-established character.

"The visual continuity of the character of Victoria is really important because such a distinctive character had been created that the fans and the audience had really connected to," Howard explained. "She's really described perfectly in the book. So that's what's really important to everybody, that there's an authenticity to bringing these characters to life. It's not really an interpretation. It's like a true representation of what's written on the page, so that's obviously incredibly important to preserve."

Taylor Lautner SNL Update - Werewolf Sketch In The Mix (Ya Think?)

“New Moon” heartthrob Taylor Lautner is hosting Saturday Night Live tomorrow, and Gossip Cop has learned that – as of now – a werewolf sketch is definitely in the mix. There are also other references to “Twilight,” a show insider assures us.

Having attended “SNL” more than twenty times, though, Gossip Cop can tell you that there is always about a third more material prepared than what actually sees airtime, so some things will be cut between now and 11:30 PM Eastern tomorrow night.

We’ll have details as they develop…

First Official Pictures Of Kristen Stewart & Dakota Fanning From 'The Runaways' & Official Synopsis

Of all the bands to come out of the 1970s Los Angeles music scene, The Runaways are by far the most uniquely fascinating. This is partially due to their music but more so to the fact that they were teenage girls whose wild and reckless lifestyle was the stuff of legend.

Focusing on the duo of guitarist/vocalist Joan Jett and lead vocalist Cherie Currie as they navigate a rocky road of touring and record-label woes, the film chronicles the band's formation as well as their meteoric rise under the malevolent eye of an abusive manager.

Acclaimed video artist Floria Sigismondi directs from her own script and her luscious camerawork captures every sweaty detail—from the filthy trailer where the women practiced to the mosh pits of Tokyo. What really makes the film cook are the sizzling performances by Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart. Not to be missed, The Runaways is an ode to an era and a groundbreaking band.

The 'Twilight Saga: New Moon' Trailer Most Viral Video Of 2009

Well, at this point, the trend is pretty hard to miss - The Twilight Saga: New Moon has undeniably become a pop culture figurehead feature of the year 2009.

Apparently, in the viral video viewings department, New Moon sits in the lead of viral sensations of 2009 - mostly joined on the top ten list by popular musicians for their music videos.

Flanked by mega-hits like Beyonce's "Single Ladies," Lady Gaga's "Poker Face," and even Suan Boyle's Britain's Got Talent audition video, the New Moon trailer took its rightful places as the most viewed viral video of 2009 with 592,049,402 views, according to Music Week.

Others videos on the top ten list for the year are Michael Jackson's "Beat It," Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body," Lady Gaga's "Just Dance," Miley Cyrus' "The Climb," and Soulja Boy's "Crank Dat."

The very first New Moon teaser, issued back in early summer during the MTV Video Music Awards, was notoriously one that hit up the viral circuit with millions of views coming in by the day.

Over half a billion, though? That sounds an awful lot like the intake that the film has enjoyed on the worldwide market . . .

Hollywood Bratpack: Is Robert Pattinson Leading The Next Generation Of Male Stars?

Hollywood's rapidly ageing leading men could finally be in for a quieter life as the answer to every movie-mogul's prayer arrives in the shape of a handsome vampire.

Johnny, Brad and George have had a long and richly rewarding run at the box office.

But the holy trinity of Hollywood leading men is really beginning to show its age (Brad Pitt turns 46 on December 18; Johnny Depp is already 46; and George Clooney 48).

The major studios are now looking to Robert Pattinson, currently putting a bite into the box office with the latest movie from the Twilight vampire saga, to lead the next generation of bankable heart-throbs.

The 23-year-old English star of New Moon is having a dramatic effect on young women and movie executives alike. Pattinson is being talked up as the leader of the next generation of male stars with the talent and appeal to carry a major movie.

Hollywood has been waiting a while.

Pretenders to the throne have come and faded away (with the likes of Ethan Hawke, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ewan McGregor and our own Colin Farrell falling just short).

And the studios are now set to jump a generation to the likes of Pattinson and -- possibly -- High School Musical's Zac Efron, young actors who are judged to have the potential to be classic leading men.

They certainly have captured the young female market.

But it remains to be seen whether the growing legion of bright young things has the acting ability to match their cinematic eye-candy status.

Hollywood's holy grail is to find young talent that can emulate established stars such as George Clooney and Brad Pitt.

But they both built their careers slowly and carefully, balancing roles showcasing their good looks with those that highlighted their acting abilities. The danger is that studio bosses rush their bright young hopes and try to cash in while they are still finding their feet.

The veteran film critic Barry Norman says there was a danger of young actors being type-cast if they stuck to the teenage "popcorn" genre.

"It's an easy route for the young and the pretty, but I don't think necessarily that it is going to be a good springboard to launch a long career," he said.

Zac Efron has made a deliberate move away from musical movies with his next big release, The Death and Life of Charlie St Cloud. Based on a popular novel, it sees Efron starring alongside Kim Basinger, playing a man who is devastated by the death of his younger brother.

Efron is very aware of the need to stretch himself in more substantial roles -- while not alienating his core audience.

"I'm not doing anything to drastically try and change my image," he said recently.

"But I do need to keep things interesting for myself. And grow up. I still make very family-friendly films. I'm not involved with the next Trainspotting sequel or anything like that."

Efron is (unfairly or not) seen as the leader of the pack of young male actors and musicians who appeal to the "tweenie" market. And it's a measure of the power of the tweenie dollar that Efron and the likes of pop stars/actors the Jonas Brothers are being seriously talked up as box office stars.

With movie-going audiences now heavily skewed towards teens, the Jonas brothers, Transformers star Shia LaBeouf and Pattinson have the kind of earning potential that Hollywood has never seen in actors in their early 20s.

Tatiana Siegel, a reporter for Variety who covers castings at the four major film studios in Los Angeles, said British hunk Pattinson was "the most in-demand actor of the generation. Now the trend in Hollywood is not so much to have an actor who carries the movies, but a brand, like Twilight. Robert Pattinson is one of the few actors that the studios can build a movie around."

The sudden craze for all things vampiric has certainly rocketed Pattinson from promising beginnings (one of his first roles was in a Harry Potter movie) to international stardom.

His co-star, Taylor Lautner, is also hot property.

The 17-year-old piled on 30lbs of muscle for his role as the werewolf Jacob Black in New Moon. He has been quoted as saying he would never take his shirt off on-screen again, but teenage girls breathed a sigh of relief this week when he denied the comment, adding that he would strip off if the role required it.

Lautner is still very young but his co-star Pattinson now appears to have the movie world at his feet.

However, he should tread carefully -- his next two or three movies could mean the difference between achieving A-list status or ending up as yet another also-ran.

Bryce Dallas Howard Reveals How The 'Eclipse' Cast Embraced Her Post-Rachelle Lefevre Switch Up

MTV News and Hollywood Crush writer Amy Wilkinson got the chance to sit down and chat with Bryce Dallas Howard today while she was promoting her new film, "Loss of a Teardrop Diamond." Though there we will have plenty of information coming to you about that film (like how it was to wear such elegant period costumes), talk inevitably turned to Bryce's next big film role, where she picks up the character of Victoria in next summer's"Eclipse" from Rachelle Lefevre.

The transition caused a bit of an uproar in the"Twilight" fan community over the summer regarding Rachelle and Summit's varying accounts of the incident. As filming has already been completed, the transition is complete, and Bryce graciously talked to Amy about the situation.

"It was actually a really unfortunate circumstance where the actress who everyone really cared deeply about, who has done an amazing job in this role, was unavailable," Bryce told us. "They were looking for someone to fill that slot. It was right before production actually happened, so of course there was intimidation there and feeling a huge responsibility to do my best."

Despite her last-minute addition to "Eclipse" and the cast members' close relationship to Rachelle, Bryce said there was nothing but a smooth transition on set.

"[They] were really lovely," she notes. "And yes, it's an incredible group of people. I have so much respect for them. There's so much frenzy surrounding them, and they've remained grounded, and their friendships are so genuine. I felt very lucky to work with such a good group of people. They love these books — all these actors. They're fans themselves. It was a great energy on set — that people are so passionate about bringing these characters to life."

‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’: Full Recap Of David Slade’s Behind-The-Scenes Look At Filming

From the awesome Twilight Examiner:
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse by David Slade
Summit Entertainment

Throughout the filming process for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, David Slade made use of a very powerful social network – Twitter – to keep fans and followers updated on production. Not only did he tweet about the various stages, but he also sent along pictures of the cast and crew (including a very thorough - albeit self-proclaimed “occasional” - series specifically devoted to the set crew).

Unlike the filming process for The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was a bit of a pictorial mystery – aside from the very rare or perfunctory on-set paparazzi photograph – and David Slade’s tweets were precious in gaining insight into the on-set goings-on.
Over the months of filming, Slade delivered a great many updates, so to consolidate that information into one, digestible resource, here’s a compilation of David Slade’s behind-the-scenes look at The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

David Slade was announced as director of Eclipse back in April of 2009. Shortly thereafter, Slade was involved in a bit of controversy concerning some of his choice phraseology in an interview, but he later retracted his statement, and the Twilight world seemed right once more. Unfortunately, he was the subject of a later mis-quote situation which may have put unsavory use of words in his mouth, but that situation was later corrected as well (by the publication itself). The latter events occurred on or about June 13th through 15th, and it was less than a month later that Slade re-joined Twitter and abandoned his old handle in trade for a new one where he could start from scratch.

His very first tweet spoke volumes of the situation into which he was emerging.

4:42 PM Jul 19th Back again, misquoted, misunderstood, abused and hated. Ready for more. - DAVID S

Of course, things got a little more optimistic as time progressed, and Slade began to inform his audience of some real need-to-know information.

9:22 PM Jul 19th A day of script reading with a well needed break to take the great poochowski out.

“The Great Poochowski,” of course, is Slade’s pooch, who has also been a constant subject matter in Slade’s tweeting history. Script-reading quickly became story-boarding, and the follower journey continued.

1:39 PM Jul 20th Story boarding with a man called Salmon
3:38 PM Jul 20th Reading Stephenie's notes on latest script draft, we are in very good shape.

When that last tweet came out, people really started to perk up. If Stephenie Meyer’s notes on the script left Slade in “good shape,” that meant that things were about to get real for filming of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Soon after, Slade began the saga of location scouting and shared his experiences with all.

11:16 PM Jul 20th Day in the production office draws to a close, will be story boarding at home now, 7.30am pick up to scout locations tomorrow, need sleep.

It’d be a while, but the promise was there: David Slade was going to tweet about filming locations … Needless to say, it was very exciting.

Of course, before the first location news came out, Slade began his occasional set crew photograph series with Javier Aguirresarobe, Director of Photography for The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Eclipse in a rather fun way – by comparing him to the Dos Equis spokesman (“The Most Interesting Man in the World”). The series continued, and it is explored in sequential order in the slideshow below.

1:15 AM Jul 21st Javier Aguirresarobe separated at birth with this guy

Shortly thereafter, Slade tweeted what we’d all been waiting for.

11:31 PM Jul 21st A long day of scouting, found Newborn hideout and battlefield finally.
11:32 PM Jul 21st Will start to post pictures soon.

Apparently, the Twilight love coming off of his insights into the Eclipse production process made a mark on David Slade.

11:34 PM Jul 21st By the way thanks to everyone for the encouragement and support it is much appreciated.

So, in return, he began to satiate the desires of his Twilight followers with a bit of Eclipse location teasing. Between issuing photographs of pictures from venues not chosen for shooting locations and abstracts of the one that was, Slade really got the momentum going on his follower interest. See the slideshow below for these images, explanations, and more.

Of course, with the passed-on location photos, a disclaimer had to be made.

1:35 AM Jul 22nd Quick note - all photos unless otherwise noted mine, only adding locations we are not using at the moment until confirmed permitted etc.

Interspersed between filming location tweets were a few specific to his experience in Vancouver (for more on these, see here), including this one of a so-called “lucky shot” of a salmon in mid-air, which Slade later explained to be a fake fish.

7:10 PM Aug 20th The Salmon jump high in Vancouver. Lucky shot.
8:24 AM Aug 21st Sorry the fish is fake, thrown by props dept, don't tell national geographic.

After a little fun with these sorts of pictures came the goods about the actors – particularly the newest announced cast member at the time, Xavier Samuel.

6:31 PM Aug 22nd Wrapped first week, probably most challenging week of our shoot. Last night Xavier Samuels delivered as astonish power performance, all good
12:03 AM Aug 25th Shot with Rob and Kristen today, both gave great performances. Lots of frustrating noisy planes overhead but beautiful scene regardless.

In addition to remarks on the actors’ performances, Slade also issued this beautiful photograph of Eclipse star Taylor Lautner with an explanation as to its origin.

9:21 PM Aug 29th Mr Taylor Lautner. A photo I took during early camera lighting tests. Not a whisker in sight.

Continuing on to updates as to the whereabouts of production …

3:53 PM Aug 30th Rehearsals with Kristen, Billy Burke and Rob yesterday. Third week of shooting just hours away. Preparation, preparation preparation.

… before issuing another photo of Lautner on-set and then proceeding with a long stream of filming updates and stories.

12:55 AM Sep 11th Today shooting with Kristen and Taylor, planes disrupt sound, we are plane magnets. Had an allergy attack at Jacob's house location, goats.
8:05 PM Sep 12th 6am mountain. A black bear strayed close to us. We shoot solid through, sunburnt and tired we return at sunset.
9:37 PM Sep 12th Yes we were shooting Bella and Jacob's kiss on the mountain, its really a grueling emotional thing to have to shoot over and over.
9:40 PM Sep 12th We had paparazzi on the ridge about 1/2mile away, their pictures will look bizarre they would have had to use 1000mm+ lenses.
9:41 PM Sep 12th Really really long paparazzi lenses make everything look terrible, one snuck close to set and was kicked off, another was arrested last week
9:43 PM Sep 12th I don't mind these pap pics, its just annoying when it stops us from shooting, or the images are completely unrepresentative of our shots.
1:27 AM Sep 15th Forrest again today, tomorrow we do wolf shots, saw some great wolf tests today, early stages developed from New Moon wolves.
1:30 AM Sep 15th Worked w/entire Cullen family today. @peterfacinelli borrowed my camera, took my picture being strangled by Jackson, will upload later...
1:38 PM Sep 17th Yesterday Taylor had to carry Kristen for several hours, he held it together - hope he can lift his arms today. Rain dumped on us all day.
1:08 PM Sep 20th Night shoots, Wolfs Wolfs wolfs, the rain dumped on us but we had to keep shooting until 5am. Then of course the rain drifted away.
1:20 PM Sep 20th Wolves wolves wolves, my corrected english. The schedule has been a bit furry of recent. Shooting vampires very soon.
10:34 PM Sep 21st Today, vampires talking, vampires kissing, rain stayed away. We had to battle the sunlight to keep our vampires from sparkling too much.
10:34 PM Sep 21st When the vampires sparkle we need to use a special camera filter to expose it on film. Otherwise the film over exposes.
2:02 AM Sep 27th 2 days ago spent an entire day shooting in a tent. Today shooting with 2nd unit. Big Thanks to all birthday well wishers its been a good day
10:39 PM Oct 3rd Grueling week or so, rain hail, long days shot through until past midnight last night then joined 2nd Unit today.

Soon enough, a sense of finality was felt in the tweet diary with this one issued about Eclipse star Billy Burke.

12:12 PM Oct 6th Wrapped Billie Burke yesterday, his description to be clear was an absolute compliment. Forget makeup thing it was a joke for @billy_burke.

With Billy Burke done, there was still a good bit of work for some of the other cast. Mother Nature, however, didn’t seem to back down and allow that to happen with any ease

8:36 PM Oct 8th THe rain is coming from a giant rain machine, but still, none the less brutal to work in.

Of course, that didn’t stop the show from going on, and it was really interesting to note when one of Eclipse’s newcomers, Jack Huston, came into play.

9:50 AM Oct 10th Just wrapped our last night shoot. Shot with Nikki Reed and Jack Huston all night. Now buzzing and unable to sleep.

That’s all before David Slade finally got a nice day off.

The next day, though, Slade was back to work – again with Xavier Samuel.

2:45 AM Oct 12th Full night shoot week ends, so I am still getting my mind clear for daylight. We shot a lot with Xavier Samuels who is a joy to direct.

Though Slade tweeted about his first shot at the Cullen residence a week later …

… it wasn’t long before the end began to draw near.

Making good on his promise, though, Slade continued to issue tweets related to Eclipse post-production.

1:01 AM Nov 14th 1st week of Eclipse director's cut (we get 10) goes really well, spent a lot of time getting visual effects going, still a good solid week..

Once The Twilight Saga: New Moon (helmed by Chris Weitz) hit theaters and busted up all monetary expectations, Slade issued his appreciation for the powerful franchise.

3:09 PM Nov 24th The wild success of New Moon this weekend is both humbling & exciting as we continue Post on Eclipse. Thanks to you lot for the support.

Ever since, Slade’s been busy at work, and he’s keeping us all posted.

Chances are, there’s still a long way to go for David Slade. The journey, thus far, has clearly been epic. The tweet saga has been appreciated, and as time progress toward The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’s release, it’ll certainly get more and more interesting.
