Robert Pattinson's Favorite Scene from New Moon

According to an article from Fanbolt.com, our beloved RPattz's favorite scene from the upcoming New Moon is the break-up scene.

Robert Pattinson's favorite scene from 'New Moon' is the breakup scene between his character Edward Cullen and Kristen Stewart's character Bella. Pattinson spoke a bit about why the scene was so interesting to him at Comic Con this past week.

"I think my breakup scene was my favorite scene. I mean, hopefully it'll come off as having quite a few more levels than the relationship in 'Twilight'. It was interesting. It was like a five page long dialogue scene. That didn't happen at all in the first one and it's quite an interesting little moment. It completely bypasses all the supernatural elements of the story, as well, which I found quite interesting." Pattinson explained.

You can check out the article here. I think I'm going to be a sobbing mess watching this on the big screen. Better bring a box of tissues. They've also got a gallery of images from Comic-Con (just in case you weren't sick of it by now).

World of Twilight Website Launched - Breaking Dawn Confirmation

Summit Entertainment has officially launched a new website: "The World of Twilight." The best part about this new site launch is that there is a Breaking Dawn section in it!!! While it says coming soon, this is more or less confirmation that Breaking Dawn will be getting made (super squee)! We'll probably have to wait until after New Moon opens in November (to enormous numbers no doubt) to get official confirmation from Summit as to a release date and filming schedule for BD. Check out World of Twilight now!

Comic-Con's New Moon Quotables - Say What?

Hollywood.com tailed the New Moon cast at Comic-Con last Thursday recording almost everything they uttered (highly doubt that since I'm sure KStew was cursing the media for asking about the infamous Robsten chemistry during the press conference). You can read the entire list of quotes over here, but these are some of my personal favorites:

"All these machines did the acting for me, which is the way I like it."
-
Robert Pattinson, on filming his 'apparition work' in New Moon

"It's a bonus that he happens to look like Adonis.
He really looks like a cartoon character when he takes his shirt off,
in a good way."

-
Chris Weitz, on Taylor Lautner

Taylor Lautner: "I like to carry a football with me and as soon as I'm done filming I'll play catch with anybody that will play catch with me.
Kristen Stewart: We played catch.
Lautner: Kristen and I played catch all the time and she has a really good arm. She's extremely accurate. I don't know how I got on this. She's extremely accurate. The grapes.
Stewart: Oh, yeah. I can throw a grape from across the room and he'll catch it in his mouth.
Lautner: So maybe a little bit talented at opening my mouth and aiming it at a falling grape, but she places it in like the perfect spot. It's so weird. So we keep ourselves busy."

Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart,
on how they spend their on-set downtime

Speculation Begins About Eclipse Possible Shooting Locations

Here's an article from the Vancouver Sun newspaper that addresses speculation about possible location shooting for Eclipse which begins rehearsal next week.

Eclipse Twifans want to know: Where in and around Vancouver are the stars going to land? What locations will host the vampires' lusty adventures and his prey's tremulous urges?

Naturally, location managers shy away from revealing to the media, as well as devotees, where they will shoot scenes in public places.

In the case of Eclipse locales will be guarded as closely as the Crown Jewels, because once word gets out, those sites will be swarmed with you know who.

You can read the rest over here. Eclipse director David Slade has also been tweeting about scouting locations for the newborn hideout and battle scene over the last couple of weeks. I think it will be a bloody good mess (pun intended).

Eclipse Recast Best Move Ever? The 'Experts' Weigt In

The whole he said/she said thing is growing tiresome at this point. Fans are rallying behind Rachelle with petitions, emails, facebook groups etc. With Eclipse rehearsals starting next week people need to accept and embrace that Bryce = the new Victoria.

Here's E!s take on the whole situation:

We don't care if Summit is a mean studio that unfairly cannedRachelle Lefevre, or if Lefevre is a contract-breaking actress who was rightly cut by Summit. The lawyerscan sort out the definitions. The bottom line is Lefevre's out, Howard's in, and we can Count Dracula all the way up to five when it comes to why the move will enliven the undead franchise.

4. Pattinson and Stewart Can Take Five: Could our Twilight lovers have looked any more miserable at Comic-Con? Could they be any happier that Howard has been sucked into the fanggirl vortex and, for at least a few days, obscured all other doings in the Twilight zone?

Will they finally lighten up, and enjoy the ride?

Well, all right, let's not go crazy.

Still, even if the Howard story gives Pattinson and Stewart just five minutes of rest and relaxation, then that's five more minutes than the couple has had in the past eight months. And happy and relaxed stars can go a long way in making for happy and relaxed movie sets. And while this is not to say that tense movie sets don't produce great movies, too, we think if Pattinson and Stewart get any more glum, theTwilight vampires will have a hard time keeping their trademark sparkle.

You can read the rest of their list over here.

Robward on the Cover of Entertainment Weekly...AGAIN

I've lost track of how many times Robward has been on the cover of EW in the last year, but this is at least the 5th or 6th time. I don't like that he's sharing it with Bill from True Blood (not such a huge fan of Bill anymore after reading all the Sookie Stackhouse books). Anyway, that magazine must be run by some seriously Robsessed women. Maybe I should get a job there?? P.S. - This is the August 7th issue on newsstands today and here's a link to the article at EW.

Who Wants Some Twilight Inspired Makeup? For Real...

ReelzChannel has got the scoop on a new line of Twilight inspired makeup. Twilight Beauty, a new cosmetics brand themed after the The Twilight Saga (maybe you've heard of it?), will launch two lines this fall in coordination with the release of New Moon on November 20: Luna Twilight and Volturi Twilight. According to the press release:

Luna Twilight reflects the mood and spirit of the saga's iconic female characters, presenting a collection that creates a harmonious blend between soft, natural beauty and stunning, fierce splendor. Notable products from the Luna Twilight line include First Light Body and Face Glow for radiant illumination and Gleam Metallic Mascara for captivating lashes.

Volturi Twilight offers entry into Twilight's exclusive coven through use of the Volturi family crest as the brand's logo. The line features Foreshadow Primer, an ultra-sheer eye base that provides the ultimate prep for a smoother, crease-proof eye shadow application that is coupled with loose glitter dust, called Labrynth Shadows. The highly pigmented loose powder shadows and the lid primer are housed in stackable pots, providing the ability to mix and match the colors to create personal, one-of-a-kind eye shadow favorites.

Luna Twilight will be available September 15, 2009, at Dillard's and Nordstrom. Volturi Twilight will be available September 15, 2009, through specialty retailers. Both lines will be sold at TwilightBeauty.com (which is not yet up and running). I'll be sure to let you know when it is though...haha.

Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg Reveals Info About Victoria's Scenes in New Moon

"There is something I just love: Victoria. It's very fun to write evil vampires," Melissa Rosenberg said. "It's very fun to write the evil vampires — or it was fun to write James."

With Cam Gigandet's ruthless tracker gone for the sequel, Rosenberg instead found herself sinking her screenwriting teeth into Lefevre's vengeance-minded vamp. "In the book, that was about Bella's point of view," she explained, admitting that keeping the events of the "Twilight" films to what Kristen Stewart's character can see is a difficult task. "You can't violate that to see what Victoria is up to."

Hallmark Introduces Twilight Cards and E-Cards

Hallmark has introduced a line of Twilight cards and e-cards for birthdays, Halloween and Valentine's Day. The one above (sorry so small) says: "I'd never forget your birthday. It's almost like I can read minds or something." So cheesy but I want them all. You can view the rest of the cards in a gallery at E! online here and see the e-cards at Hallmark online here.

More From Comic-Con - New Moon Cast Talks About Their Roles

MTV has a new video from Comic-Con in which Kristen, Taylor and Ashley talk about their roles in the film this time around. On another note, I really hate KStew's mullett that she's been rocking for her Joan Jett movie, The Runaways.

New Statement from Summit Entertainment Regarding Rachelle/Victoria - Drama!

Courtesy of the Twilight Lexicon, here's the latest official statement that Summit Entertainment has just released regarding the MESS that has become Rachelle/Victoria/Bryce:

We at Summit Entertainment are disappointed by Rachelle Lefevre’s recent comments which attempt to make her career choices the fault of the Studio. Her decision to discuss her version of the scheduling challenges publicly has forced the Studio to set the record straight and correct the facts.

Ms. Lefevre’s representatives were advised as early as April that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE was expected to start shooting in early August.

If Ms. Lefevre was, as she describes “passionate,” about being part of THE TWILIGHT SAGA, we feel that she and her representatives would have included us in her decision to work on another film that would conflict with the shooting schedule of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE.

It was not until July 20th that Summit was first informed of Ms. Lefevre’s commitment to BARNEY’S VERSION, a commitment we have since been advised she accepted in early June. Summit had acted in good faith that she would be available to fulfill her obligations both in terms of rehearsals and shooting availability for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. We feel that her choice to withhold her scheduling conflict information from us can be viewed as a lack of cooperative spirit which affected the entire production.

Furthermore Ms. Lefevre took a role in the other film that places her in Europe during the required rehearsal time, and at least ten days of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE’s principal photography. This period is essential for both rehearsal time with the cast, and for filming at key locations that are only available during the initial part of production.

Contrary to Ms. Lefevre’s statement, it is simply untrue that the Studio dismissed her over a ten day overlap. It is not about a ten day overlap, but instead about the fact that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE is an ensemble production that has to accommodate the schedules of numerous actors while respecting the established creative vision of the filmmaker and most importantly the story.

The fact remains that Ms. Lefevre’s commitment to the other project – which she chose to withhold from Summit until the last possible moment – makes her unfortunately unavailable to perform the role of Victoria in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE.

I think it's very convenient that this is all going down 1 week before Eclipse rehearsals begin in Vancouver and filming beginning in 3 weeks. Hmm...I guess any publicity is good publicity. It's definitely going to make the New Moon promotion for Rachelle quite uncomfortable in the next couple of months though!

Top 5 Eclipse Scenes that Need to Make the Movie

Courtesy of ReelzChannel we get their take on the 5 must-have scenes that need to make it into the movie. My personal favorite is the tent scene from the following chapter:

Chapter 22 "Fire and Ice"

In this fan-favorite chapter, Edward and Jacob have a man-to-man talk and come to a Bella-related compromise. They're not quite friends, but they're almost there and no longer want to rip each other's head off. Any scene that will allow
Robert Pattinson to talk about Edward's jealousy and love for Bella is bound to be a crowd pleaser. We can already hear the contented sighs from his legions of female fans as he stares moodily into the camera...

You can read the rest of their suggestions over here.

New Interview with Jamie Campbell Bower aka Caius in New Moon Reveals 'Nude Scene'

Yes, you read that right. Apparently there is a scene in New Moon where Aro, Caius, and Marcus will all be hanging around in their birthday suits. That seems a little creepy to me...

"We just all sit there, completely naked, for one scene," revealed "New Moon" actor Jamie Campbell Bower, talking about a racy moment that was added into the upcoming film. "Yeah, it's me, Michael Sheen and Christopher [Heyerdahl]; we just sit there, naked."

In the November 20 film, Bower plays Caius — an evil member of the Volturi vampire clan. Sheen plays their leader Aro, and Heyerdahl has been cast as Marcus. As any good Twilighter knows, the leader of the Cullen clan has a history with the centuries-old bloodsuckers, and when it came time to shoot "New Moon," director Chris Weitz wanted to depict that backstory.

Check out the rest of the interview and a video with Jamie over at MTV.

Controversy Surrounding Recast of Victoria - Statement from Rachelle Lefevre

Here's an exclusive statement that Rachelle gave to Access Hollywood regarding the recasting of her role, Victoria, in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, to Bryce Dallas Howard that I reported last night:

“I was stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role of Victoria for ‘Eclipse,’” Rachelle said in a statement to Access Hollywood.

On Tuesday, Summit announced that Bryce Dallas Howard would be taking on the role in “Eclipse,” due in May 2010.

“I was fully committed to the ‘Twilight’ saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria,” Rachelle continued, explaining the turn of events that led to the casting change. “I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules. My commitment to ‘Barney’s Version’ is only ten days. Summit picked up my option for ‘Eclipse.’ Although the production schedule for ‘Eclipse’ is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those ten days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for ‘Eclipse,’ never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10 day overlap. I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part.”

BREAKING NEWS - Bryce Dallas Howard to Replace Rachelle Lefevre as Victoria in Eclipse

THE TWILIGHT SAGA ADDS ACTRESS BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD TO FILM FRANCHISE

Actress Rachelle Lefevre Will Be Replaced By Howard In The Role Of Victoria

Los Angeles – July 28, 2009 – Summit Entertainment announced today that Bryce Dallas Howard will take over the role of “Victoria” in the studio’s upcoming production of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. Actress, Rachelle Lefevre, who portrayed the character in TWILIGHT as well as the upcoming release of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, will not continue in the role due to scheduling conflicts with another commitment the actor has made. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE will start filming in Vancouver this coming August.

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, the third film in the studio’s TWILIGHT film franchise based on Stephenie Meyer’s blockbuster book series, will be directed by David Slade from a screenplay written by Melissa Rosenberg. The film will be released theatrically in North America on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.

“We are incredibly happy that Bryce has agreed to come into the franchise,” said Erik Feig, Summit’s President of Worldwide Production and Acquisitions. “Rachelle brought “Victoria” to great screen life and Bryce will bring a new dimension to the character. The franchise is lucky to have such a talented actress as Bryce coming in to fill the role.”

Howard most recently starred in TERMINATOR SALVATION as Kate Connor and has been seen in SPIDER-MAN 3, LADY IN THE WATER, and THE VILLAGE. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for her leading performance as an actress in the HBO film AS YOU LIKE IT.

In THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.

First Volturi Picture (It's Really Real)!!!

This is the first pic of the Volturi that was leaked yesterday (super squee)!!! Summit Entertainment has since asked everyone to take it down from their sites, blogs, etc. However, since I'm just starting this blog out, the man doesn't know about me yet, so I don't think they'll mind if I keep it up. ;-)

TIME Magazine Interview with Chris Weitz

New Moon director Chris Weitz was interviewed at Comic-Con by TIME magazine.

I guess I should ask you about the actual movie. How done is it?

It's pretty done. It has to be done. It has to come out on November 20. Which means we sort of have to hand it over October 30. Which means the picture has to lock August 30. And so in a few weeks it'll be locked, the visual effects are in good shape, all the R&D on the more complicated, more ephemeral effects is being completed.

Check out the rest of the interview here!

Top 10 New Moon Facts Revealed From Comic-Con

Courtesy of Rotten Tomatoes, we get the top 10 facts revealed about New Moon at Comic-Con. My personal fave:

7. Kristen Stewart can't wait to have Rob Pattinson's baby! (Just kidding.) When asked what scene she's most looking forward to filming over the course of Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, Stewart let out a spoiler of sorts. "I can't wait to get pregnant!" Stewart joked, referring to her character's storyline. Pattinson's response: "I can't wait to perform the Cesarian." Taylor's most anticipated scene? The one where he gets to strip naked and cuddle with Bella in a sleeping bag, naturally.

Is that what they're all giggling about?? ;-)
